These Ferrari lower-link-pins are essential suspension components that secure the lower linkage within the vehicle’s suspension system. Built for performance, they help maintain stable alignment under load and through cornering, supporting predictable handling and ride quality. The fe-85712100 SKU identifies a part option designed to fit Ferrari chassis where a reliable pivot point is required. Properly installed pins contribute to smooth movement of the suspension, helping preserve geometry and the connection between the lower link and mounting points. What is the lower-link-pins? Lower-link-pins are the cylindrical fasteners that secure the lower suspension linkage to its mounting points on the chassis or subframe. They act as pivot points, allowing the lower link to swing with the wheel as the suspension moves through its travel. The pins transfer forces between the control arms and the suspension upright while resisting wear from repetitive motion and road stresses. When installed correctly, they help maintain suspension geometry, promote smooth movement, and support consistent load transfer during braking, acceleration, and cornering. Why is the lower-link-pins Important? Keeping the lower-link-pins in good condition is important for overall handling and safety. Worn or damaged pins can introduce play, causing clunking noises, vague steering, and reduced alignment accuracy. This, in turn, can accelerate wear on bushings and other suspension components, increase tire wear, and affect braking stability. Replacing worn pins helps preserve correct geometry, enhances steering feel, and maintains predictable response under varying driving conditions. For Ferrari vehicles, fresh pins contribute to long‑term performance and driver confidence. Installation Guide & Support Installation should follow the vehicle’s service procedures and any Ferrari technical guidance. Use appropriate tools, inspect mounting holes and related hardware for wear, and ensure the pins seat fully and squarely in their bushings or sleeves before reassembly. Verify that fasteners are secured to the recommended specifications and that the suspension moves freely without binding. After installation, perform a careful test in a controlled environment to confirm proper operation and alignment.
