Designed for Ferrari applications, this sensor heat shield helps protect vital monitoring sensors from intense heat generated by high-performance engines and exhaust systems. Built to endure demanding driving conditions, it supports reliable sensor readings and longer-lasting components. The Ferrari engineering team emphasizes heat management as part of overall system durability, making this shield a practical upgrade for superior reliability and consistent performance under track or street use. What is the sensor-heat-shield? A sensor heat shield is a protective barrier placed near sensors to block radiant and conducted heat. It is designed to sit between the heat source and the sensing element, reducing thermal transfer and helping sensors maintain accurate measurements even in hot environments. By limiting heat exposure, it also protects adjacent wiring, connectors, and housings from thermal damage and helps resist deformation during temperature cycles common in high-performance driving. In many setups the shield contributes to steady sensor readings and longer service life for the monitoring system. Why is the sensor-heat-shield Important? Replacing a worn or damaged sensor heat shield matters for reliable engine management, monitoring functions, and overall vehicle safety. A proper shield minimizes heat-induced wear and electrical insulation stress, reduces signal drift, and helps prevent sensor faults that could trigger warning lights or performance issues. Keeping the shield in good condition supports consistent performance across normal, spirited, or prolonged driving and can prevent downstream maintenance stemming from heat-related damage. Installation Guide & Support To install, begin with a cool engine and follow the vehicle's service guidance. Align the shield with its mounting points and attach it using the appropriate fasteners, ensuring it sits clear of moving parts and hot surfaces. Verify there is adequate clearance to sensors, hoses, and wiring, and check that the shield does not interfere with heat shields or heat paths. After installation, run a functional check of the monitoring system and inspect for any heat leakage.
